Shipping & Delivery Terms

All Benjawbski Designs products are shipped from Leisure Island in Knysna, South Africa.

Benjawbski products can be purchased online via our website for delivery anywhere in South Africa, or for pick up at our location.

Value-based shipping costs are added during checkout (orders selected to be picked up from our location incur no shipping costs). Based on very favourable experience, The Courier Guy has been selected as our courier of choice. Shipping costs have been kept as simple as possible and are calculated as follows: Orders of R0 - R3 000 = R200.00, R3 000.01 - R5 000 = R260.00, R5 000.01 - R10,000 = R300.00, R10 000.01 - R20 000 = R500.

For purchases or order collections directly from our location, please contact Benjawbski directly to arrange a convenient time.

We do not ship internationally from our online store at present, due to the extreme variations in shipping costs based on weight and destination, please contact us for a tailor-made quotation based on your intended order and international destination. If you accept our quote, a Payfast Link will be provided to allow you to make secure payment before we ship. Product weights displayed in our online shop do not include a packaging component.

If you purchase online, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to you, once secure payment is processed. If you do not receive confirmation within a few minutes, please check your spam and junk folders.

Orders are normally dispatched within 2 business days of receiving payment. Once your order has been shipped, tracking details will be sent to you by email. All orders for delivery in South Africa are sent by road freight.

Typical delivery times to major centres are 3-5 business days. Please allow an additional 1-2 days to outlying destinations.

Payment Terms & Methods

We have made every effort to ensure that your payments are secure in accordance with internationally accepted best practises. Our website makes use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology for the protection of your information, and Payfast is a reputable and trusted secure payment gateway. Your card details are processed securely by PayFast and are never stored on our website.

When shopping online, Visa, Mastercard and Instant EFT are accepted via Payfast.

When shopping in person, we accept cash and payments via Yoco (supporting both Debit and Credit Cards), Snapscan, Zapper and Apple Pay, or we can provide you with a Payfast link to pay before taking delivery of the products.

General Terms

Product dimensions shown for our products are measurements referring to the overall size of the item, including the wooden component, hooks and any attached fittings.

You use our website, online shop and digital channels at your own risk and by doing so you are consenting to our anonymous website cookies.

All contents of this website are owned by Benjawbski Designs and are not to be copied.

Every reasonable effort is made to ensure that the content and detail on this website are correct, but sometimes we make mistakes. We undertake to correct them if/when they are brought to our attention.

Benjawbski Warranty

At Benjawbski Designs, we stand behind our work. All products are warranted to perform substantially as intended for a period of three (3) months from date of purchase, under sensible indoor use. Should a product become structurally unsound during this period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the item.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper installation
  • Exposure to excessive moisture, heat, or outdoor conditions (unless specifically stated as suitable)
  • Natural wear such as surface scratches, minor dents, or normal timber movement.

Because each piece is handcrafted from natural wood, variations in grain, colour, and figure are part of its character and are not considered defects.

Please inspect your parcel upon delivery or collection and notify us immediately if there are any issues.

If an item arrives damaged during transit, please notify us within 7 days of receipt so that we can assist.

We operate in good faith and ask our customers to do the same.

Returns Policy

Due to the individually handcrafted nature of our products, we do not offer returns for change of mind. If you experience a genuine issue with your purchase, please contact us - we are always willing to discuss reasonable solutions.

All returns are to be made within 7 days of receipt. The customer pays for return shipping unless defective.

Product Care

All our Charcuterie Boards are finished with TopOil from Osmo, a premium, food-safe finish that protects the wood while enhancing its natural beauty.

Our other products are coated with an all-purpose sealer which penetrates and nourishes the wood at the same time.

The Benjawbski privacy policy clarifies that we respect the privacy of your information. Personal information provided to us will be kept confidential and is used solely for the purpose of processing orders and communication. We do not share client details without permission.

We use your personal information only for actual business needs, we safeguard your information and we will never abuse it or sell it to 3rd parties.

You own your personal information and you can ask us to alter or delete whatever we store about you, at any time. We only store what we absolutely need to serve you.
